Embedded Software Engineer (Perm Job)

For one of our clients in the Rotterdam / The Hague area we are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer.

Start: asap
Contract: temporary, with the intention for a permanent contract
Hours a week: fulltime

As an Embedded Software Engineer you:

• develop and test software for IoT gateways
• develop and test firmware for new generation of IoT sensors
• integrate these devices in an end-to-end cloud based systems 
• analyse new customer requirements by further developing new sensors and gateways
• program good quality code and use automated test protocols
• work in a multidisciplinary team with agile/scrum methodologies

Background experience:

• a MSc. in Technical IT, Embedded Systems or a related field of studies
• a minimum of 5 years of experience in Object-Orientated Software Engineering
• experience in translating a technical design to implementation
• good knowledge of agile/scrum methods
• experience with cloud solutions such as Azure, AWS and Google 
• familiar with IoT connectivity protocols like Zigbee, LoRa, Bluetooth, Sigfox
• good knowledge of embedded platforms, Linux device drivers and microcontrollers (Nordic, TI)
• Good verbal and writing skills in English and Dutch
